Planning children’s parties is always a joy, but this unicorn birthday celebration was especially enchanting. From whimsical decorations to sparkly snacks, we’re excited to share our favorite unicorn birthday party ideas to help you create your own magical celebration!

Welcoming Guests With Unicorn Magic
To set the tone from the moment guests arrived, a vibrant Happy Birthday unicorn yard sign greeted friends and family in the front yard. This colorful display created the perfect first impression and instantly brought the party theme to life.
Unicorn Birthday Party Decorations
For the main dessert table, we wanted the centerpiece to be the stunning unicorn standee—so she was placed front and center as the focal point of the display.
To add shimmer and texture, we created an eye-catching backdrop by layering rows of white fringe across an 8-foot standee board using a staple gun. On each side of the table, we positioned pink and silver star mylar balloons to add height, contrast, and a little extra sparkle.
To enhance the feminine color palette, we draped a soft pink tulle table skirt across the front of the table and topped it with a glittering silver sequin runner that added dimension and shine.
Unicorn Birthday Party Desserts & Snacks
The star of the dessert table was a rainbow star cake displayed on a 10-inch white milk glass stand. We placed the cake slightly off-center so it wouldn’t distract from the unicorn standee.
Cake slices were served on pink unicorn dessert plates and paired with glasses of chilled pink lemonade—perfect for a magical afternoon treat.
To bring balance to the display, we added adorable DIY unicorn cupcakes. Vanilla cupcakes with light pink buttercream were wrapped in “Be Magical” cupcake wrappers and topped with inverted sugar cones to resemble unicorn horns.
For a whimsical snack, we created Unicorn Food, a sweet mix that was a huge hit with the guests. To make your own Unicorn Food, simply combine white chocolate–coated popcorn with star-shaped candies and pink sprinkles.
Unicorn Birthday Party Favors
Each guest took home a collection of charming unicorn-themed keepsakes, including unicorn compact mirrors engraved with “You’re Magical” and colorful pink or purple unicorn necklaces. We love favors that can be enjoyed long after the party ends!
During the celebration, partygoers also had fun waving glitter star wands and making their own inflatable unicorn balloons using a simple DIY balloon kit—one of the most popular activities of the day.
